Two men arrested for stabbing 18-year-old neighbor to death in Dakshinpuri

An 18-year-old food delivery executive was stabbed to death in Dakshinpuri, near Ambedkar Nagar in South Delhi, on Friday night around 9:30 PM after two of his neighbors confronted him over suspected fuel theft. The Delhi Police have arrested the two suspects, who allegedly attacked the teenager following a brief altercation.
The victim was identified as Krishna Raushan, who lived with his family and worked for a food aggregator. The two arrested suspects, identified by police as Rahul and Rahul Tomar, are both in their 30s and worked as local momo vendors in the neighborhood.
According to the police, the confrontation began when the suspects accused Raushan of stealing petrol from their motorcycles. This accusation led to a heated argument between the neighbors.
"When they confronted him on Friday night, an altercation broke out among them. One of them brought a knife from his house and stabbed him, killing him on the spot," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Anant Mittal.
The Ambedkar Nagar police station received a phone call reporting the stabbing on Friday night. Officers dispatched to the scene learned that Raushan had already been rushed to a nearby hospital. Attending doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Following the attack, both suspects fled the scene. Investigators launched a search, conducting raids at potential hideouts. On Saturday, police tracked down and arrested both men from a forested area near Ambedkar Nagar.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime, stating that they were drunk when the altercation broke out with Raushan. Police officers also recovered the knife used in the murder.
The Delhi Police have registered a murder case under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Ambedkar Nagar police station.
