Three-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Assaulted at Maujpur Playschool in Northeast Delhi

A three-and-a-half-year-old boy was allegedly physically and sexually assaulted at a private playschool in northeast Delhi's Maujpur, leaving the child in critical condition. The incident came to light after the child fell seriously ill upon returning home from the school on August 18.

According to the child's father, Navneet Chaudhary, the boy had appeared troubled for several days prior to the incident. On August 18, the child returned home from the playschool, began vomiting, and complained of dizziness.

His family immediately took him to a paediatrician, who observed that the child's eyes were swollen and advised them to consult an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist for further examination.

The ENT doctor discovered that the boy's eardrums in both ears were severely swollen and appeared close to rupturing. The doctor described the child's physical condition as critical, the father stated.

Following the medical diagnosis, the family approached the playschool management to inquire whether the boy had been assaulted on the premises.

The family subsequently accessed closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage recorded at the school on the day the child fell ill. The footage purportedly showed the young boy being tied to a chair, kicked, and pulled by his ears over an extended period.
