Over 1.48 Lakh Apply For Delhi University UG Admissions Ahead Of July 11 Deadline

Delhi University in New Delhi has announced that it has received 1,48,407 applications so far for its undergraduate admissions, with the deadline for candidates to submit their programme and college preferences set for Saturday, July 11 at 11:59 pm.

According to the latest admission update released by the university, 62,524 candidates have already attempted Phase II of the undergraduate admission process. This update comes as the university manages admissions across multiple streams, having also released updates for its undergraduate, postgraduate, BTech, and five-year integrated law programmes.

In addition to the undergraduate updates, Delhi University has commenced the registration process for two specific postgraduate admission programmes.

The first of these postgraduate registrations is for the university's one-year postgraduate programmes. These courses are open to students who have completed a four-year undergraduate programme under the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) 2022, which is based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, specifically from Delhi University.

According to the university's statement, admissions to these one-year postgraduate programmes will be based entirely on the merit scores that candidates obtained after completing their four years of the bachelor's degree programme at the university. The selection will follow the respective programme-specific eligibility guidelines published in the university's information bulletin.

The second postgraduate registration opportunity is for the two-year M.Sc. in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology programme for the 2026–2028 batch. Delhi University has invited applications from candidates who qualified the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) 2026 for admission to this course during the 2026-27 academic session.

Candidates seeking admission to both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes must monitor the university's updates to ensure they complete all necessary registration and preference forms before their respective deadlines.
