Four siblings arrested as police bust drug syndicate in Jahangirpuri

The Delhi Police have arrested four siblings and busted an illegal drug syndicate operating out of D-Block in Jahangirpuri, North West Delhi. The operation, which allegedly distributed prohibited psychotropic tablets and intoxicating injections across the region, was uncovered during a series of raids, police announced on Saturday.
The arrested siblings have been identified as Paro, 28, Usha, 25, Kanta, 35, and their brother Amit, 30. According to the police, the syndicate operated out of small houses located in the congested lanes of the locality.
Led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Akanksha Yadav, the police first raided a house in D-Block. This initial raid resulted in the arrest of the three sisters and the seizure of 1,300 Addnok-N tablets containing Buprenorphine and Naloxone, 310 Avil injections, 652 syringe needles, and ₹1.25 lakh in cash.
During interrogation, the sisters disclosed that they were working with an associate named Sachin, also known as 'Chanakya'. Sachin is allegedly linked to an organised network supplying drugs throughout the national capital.
Following their disclosures, police conducted subsequent searches at premises used by Sachin for storing contraband. These searches yielded an additional 400 Avil injections, 1,880 syringe needles, and ₹63,000 in cash. Sachin remains at large.
A fourth raid was conducted at the residence of the brother, Amit, who was allegedly hoarding supplies nearby. At his house, police recovered ₹20.14 lakh in cash, gold jewellery weighing 241 grams, and silver ornaments weighing 2.4 kilograms. Officers also found documents relating to 11 flats owned by Paro, each valued between ₹12 lakh and ₹15 lakh. A brand-new TVS N-Torq scooter registered in Amit’s name was seized as suspected proceeds of crime.
In total, the police recovered 1,300 prohibited psychotropic tablets weighing 268 grams, 735 Avil injections, 2,532 needles and syringes, ₹22.02 lakh in cash, gold jewellery worth approximately ₹35 lakh, and silver articles valued at about ₹6.2 lakh.
DCP Yadav stated that efforts are underway to apprehend Sachin to trace the source of the drug supply, map the financial trail, and arrest other members of the syndicate. Further investigation is currently in progress.
