DTTDC Invites Bids to Build Delhi Medical and Wellness Tourism Digital Platform

The Delhi government is planning to launch a unified digital platform to integrate the city's medical and wellness tourism services, aiming to simplify the travel and treatment process for patients visiting New Delhi. To roll out this initiative, the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) has floated a request for proposal to select a strategic partner to design, develop, operate, and manage the new system.
The project, known as the Delhi Medical and Wellness Tourism (DMWT) platform, will bring the capital's entire medical and wellness tourism ecosystem onto a single digital interface. This platform is designed to assist patients and their attendants coming to the city from other Indian states as well as from foreign countries.
Through the integrated platform, users will be able to access a wide range of essential services. These services include selecting healthcare facilities, booking specific medical treatments, obtaining translation assistance, and securing post-treatment support.
According to a senior official, the appointed strategic partner will be required to build and maintain the entire digital ecosystem at its own cost. The scope of work involves creating a comprehensive web portal alongside dedicated mobile applications designed specifically for patients and healthcare providers. Additionally, the partner will develop an administrative dashboard to allow the Delhi government and empanelled stakeholders to actively monitor and manage all offered services.
The DMWT platform will also incorporate several administrative and utility features to streamline the patient journey. It will facilitate online patient registration, passport and medical visa verification, and secure digital payments. To further assist visitors, the system will offer real-time patient tracking, multilingual support, a grievance redressal mechanism, and systematic post-treatment follow-up services.
This digital initiative by the DTTDC, serving as the nodal agency, represents a major step in structuring the medical tourism sector across the capital.
