Driver and Conductor Arrested for Gang-Rape of Teenager on Bus from Noida

A 16-year-old Class 11 student was allegedly gang-raped inside a sleeper bus after boarding the vehicle at Noida Sector 63, before being abandoned at Kashmere Gate on August 4. Delhi Police subsequently arrested the bus driver and conductor in connection with the crime.
The accused have been identified as Kuldeep and Sandeep, both residents of Uttar Pradesh, who worked as the driver and conductor of the sleeper bus. Delhi Police have also seized the Uttar Pradesh-registered bus and initiated an investigation into the matter.
According to police sources, the victim had travelled from Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh to visit her cousin in Noida. Amid heavy rain, the teenager mistakenly got off at Pari Chowk. She later boarded the sleeper bus at Noida Sector 63.
The girl informed the police that she was alone inside the bus after boarding it. Taking advantage of the situation, the driver and conductor allegedly assaulted her inside the vehicle.
Following the sexual assault, the accused drove the bus to Kashmere Gate in Delhi, where they abandoned the victim. During police interrogation, the accused reportedly stated that they dumped the girl in Delhi under the assumption that doing so would help them evade arrest by law enforcement authorities.
Delhi Police apprehended both Kuldeep and Sandeep following the incident and have impounded the vehicle as part of the ongoing probe.
