Delhi Universities to Begin Undergraduate Admissions This Week After CUET Results

Major universities across Delhi, including Delhi University, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia, and Miranda House, are preparing to launch their undergraduate admission processes this week following the declaration of the Common University Entrance Test-Undergraduate (CUET-UG) results. The timely release of the results by the National Testing Agency (NTA) will enable these institutions to streamline their enrollment schedules and begin the 2026-27 academic session by the first week of August.
Delhi University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh announced that the university aims to kick off the application process soon to ensure classes start on schedule. A DU official stated that the university will formally notify candidates about the commencement of registrations on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal this week. Applicants have been advised to monitor the portal for updates.
The NTA declared the CUET-UG results 14 days earlier than in the previous exam cycle. This year's exam cycle included a retest on June 6 and 7, which was conducted after technical difficulties were reported at some test centres. Despite the retest, the NTA finalized and released the results within 16 days of completing the examinations.
Other prominent Delhi institutions are also aligning their schedules with the newly released scores. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi Vice-Chancellor Anu Singh Lather stated that the university will begin its admission process as soon as the NTA shares the candidate data. Lather noted that because the entrance results were declared on time, the university expects to successfully conclude multiple rounds of admissions within a single month.
Jamia Millia Islamia, which offers 25 undergraduate courses based on CUET scores, has already opened its registration portal and is scheduled to begin its seat allocation process shortly.
Additionally, Miranda House recently held an open house session from June 17 to 22 to guide prospective students. The college organized tours and answered admission-related queries for visitors.
According to DU officials, the admission criteria remain unchanged from last year. Admissions will be determined by CUET scores, while board exam results will serve only as a tiebreaker if two candidates have identical scores and preferences.
