Delhi High Court orders Khan Sir to remove post on Anjana Om Kashyap's child

On Thursday, July 2, 2026, the Delhi High Court directed TV Today Network Ltd., its Managing Editor Anjana Om Kashyap, and educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as 'Khan Sir', to show mutual restraint and explore mediation to resolve an ongoing defamation dispute.

Justice Tushar Rao Gedela ordered Khan to remove a social media post that disclosed information about Kashyap's child. The court also directed the plaintiffs to refrain from making further statements and urged both sides to work towards an amicable settlement.

The directive came during the hearing of a defamation lawsuit filed by Kashyap against Khan and three other educators over allegedly defamatory social media posts. The other defendants named in the suit are Abhinay Maths founder Abhinay Sharma, ICS Coaching co-founder Babita Tyagi, and Naiya Paar Education's Arvind Bhadauriya.

During the proceedings, Kashyap's counsel submitted that Khan had disclosed where the journalist's children study on social media, which allegedly led to the journalist receiving threats. Justice Gedela directed Khan to take down the specific disclosure about the child and urged the educators to consider removing 'unparliamentary' references from their posts.

The dispute originated from a May 29, 2026 broadcast on the Aaj Tak news channel, where Kashyap expressed concern about the credibility of YouTube teachers following the NEET paper leak controversy. The lawsuit alleged that the defendant educators crossed the limit of fair criticism and launched personal attacks on Kashyap's character, integrity, and professional reputation through social media posts between May 30 and June 4, 2026.

The defendants argued that their posts were a reaction to Kashyap's broadcast. While Kashyap's counsel argued that the educators were discussing politics as part of their educational content, Justice Gedela remarked that 'everybody is discussing politics' and encouraged the parties to resolve the dispute through mediation.
