Delhi Government To Support Student Innovators At IIIT Delhi With Grants And Incubation

Over the weekend, the Delhi government announced a new initiative to provide infrastructure, grants, and incubation resources to support student innovators at IIIT Delhi. Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood shared the announcement during the grand finale of the "Tech4Future – future makers innovators bootcamp."
During the event, students from CM SHRI Schools showcased technology-based projects and working prototypes designed to address real-life challenges. The technology-driven projects, which aimed at solving everyday problems, took center stage as students presented their work before a gathering of educators, experts, and policymakers.
Following these student presentations, the Delhi government announced a series of measures to help the young inventors transform their ideas into practical innovations. The primary goal of providing these resources is to encourage students to become job creators rather than job seekers.
Addressing the gathered educators, experts, and policymakers, Education Minister Ashish Sood assured the students of the government's full support in their creative endeavors. He emphasized that the government is committed to providing the necessary tools to scale their projects.
"We want to give you the best infrastructure and incubate your ideas," Sood said. "It is my responsibility to bring you the resources you need. Don’t worry about resources, only make your vision bigger."
Government officials confirmed that promising student ideas showcased at the bootcamp will be incubated. Furthermore, the administration plans to assist the students in scaling their technology-based projects to both national and global platforms.
According to officials, this initiative is part of a larger, comprehensive effort by the Delhi government to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship within government schools.
