Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Launches EV Subsidy Portal At Delhi Secretariat

On Friday, July 3, 2026, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched the Delhi EV Subsidy Portal during a programme held at the Delhi Secretariat. The newly introduced digital platform allows citizens and institutions to apply for electric vehicle purchase incentives and track their applications in real-time from home.

During the event, Chief Minister Gupta also unveiled the official booklet of the Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy 2026. She stated that the Delhi Government is committed to building a clean, modern, and sustainable transport system across the city.

Under the new portal system, eligible beneficiaries can apply for subsidies within 30 days of purchasing their electric vehicle and receiving their Registration Certificate (RC). The Delhi Government aims to transfer the subsidy amounts directly into the bank accounts of beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) within 60 days of application.

Speaking at the Delhi Secretariat, Chief Minister Gupta said that the Delhi EV Subsidy Portal has been designed to be simple, fast, transparent, and completely digital, enabling eligible citizens to access all services from home. She added that the entire process has been made paperless, transparent, and citizen-centric.

The portal allows applicants to securely upload essential documents online, including Aadhaar, Voter ID, and the vehicle RC. For institutions, the platform also provides facilities to upload GSTIN, PAN, and bank account details. It is designed to function as a single platform for all key information related to the Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy 2026, including eligibility criteria, subsidies for different vehicle categories, the list of approved EV models, and required documents.

In addition to the portal launch, the Chief Minister called upon vehicle manufacturers, dealers, scrapping centres, power distribution companies, and other stakeholders to actively support the expansion of the charging network and make affordable EV models available.

To support this transition, Chief Minister Gupta announced that the Delhi Government will develop more than 32,000 public EV charging points across the city by 2030, ensuring convenient and reliable charging facilities for citizens throughout Delhi.
