CBFC Grants 'A' Certificate To Bobby Deol's Upcoming Film 'Bandar' With Dialogue Edits

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted an 'A' (Adults Only) certificate to director Anurag Kashyap's upcoming dark drama film, "Bandar," starring actor Bobby Deol. The film, which is scheduled for theatrical release on June 5, cleared the censor board's review process with no visual cuts demanded.

While the CBFC's Examining Committee did not require any visual scenes to be deleted from the movie, it directed the filmmakers to modify and soften its dialogue. This process involved replacing several strong cuss words with milder language. Specifically, the board required the replacement of certain explicit terms, including swapping one particular cuss word with the milder term "banjo."

The certified version of "Bandar" has an official running time of 2 hours, 10 minutes, and 27 seconds. The upcoming release has already drawn significant attention from audiences due to its intense premise, the bold use of the song "Come On Baby," and the highly anticipated first-time collaboration between Bobby Deol and director Anurag Kashyap.

Details regarding the film's certification and the specific dialogue modifications required by the censor board came to light following a report by Bollywood Hungama. The dark drama is set to make its theatrical debut on June 5.
