AAP to Launch Ram Temple Donation Signature Campaign at Rohini Japanese Park

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced plans to launch a pan-India signature campaign from Japanese Park in Sector 10, Rohini, demanding that those who stole donations from the Ram Temple in Ayodhya face execution. Scheduled to begin on Sunday at 10 a.m., the campaign will commence with a recitation of the Sunderkand from the Ramayana at the Rohini park. The party has accused the central government of actively protecting high-level culprits involved in the temple theft.
AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal addressed a press conference regarding the campaign, where he urged devotees to assemble at the park. Kejriwal stated that after completing the Sunderkand recitation, attendees will seek the blessings of Bhagwan Hanuman and officially launch the signature campaign. He expressed concern over the direction of the current investigation, alleging that only low-level individuals are facing consequences while key figures remain untouched.
As part of the nationwide campaign, citizens will sign a letter addressed directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The draft of the letter, shared publicly by the party, criticizes the official response to the theft. The letter claims that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and the filed FIRs are merely attempts to mislead the public and bury the matter rather than ensuring justice.
According to the draft letter, eight junior workers have been arrested in connection with the case, while efforts are being made to shield more powerful individuals. The letter appeals directly to the Prime Minister, stating, "Prime Minister, please do not do this. Those guilty of stealing from the Mandir of Bhagwan Ram should be hanged. Protecting them is ‘mahapaap’ (grave sin)."
The upcoming event at Japanese Park marks an escalation in the political tension between the AAP and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the temple donations. By organizing religious recitations alongside the political campaign, the AAP aims to mobilize public support and pressure the central government to target high-level individuals in its investigation rather than limiting arrests to junior staff.
