Rohini Resident Priyanka Killed by Dumper Truck on Budh Vihar-Kanjhawala Road

A Rohini resident was killed on the spot after being run over by a speeding, loaded dumper truck on the Budh Vihar-Kanjhawala Road in Outer Delhi, officials reported on Thursday. The victim, identified as a woman named Priyanka, was struck by the heavy vehicle, after which the unidentified driver immediately fled the scene of the accident.

According to the police, the impact of the collision was extremely severe. Priyanka's body was badly crushed on the road, making it initially difficult for the responding officers to identify her.

Personnel from Delhi's Aman Vihar Police Station, including the Station House Officer (SHO), reached the spot shortly after the incident was reported. Following considerable effort, the police team carefully recovered the crushed body from the road and sent it to a hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The fatal incident temporarily disrupted the movement of vehicles on the Budh Vihar-Kanjhawala Road. After successfully recovering the body and clearing the site, the police managed to restore the normal flow of traffic.

The Aman Vihar Police have seized the dumper truck involved in the accident. A detailed investigation has been launched to locate the driver who fled, and further legal proceedings are currently underway.
