Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Announces Rs 500 Crore Startup Policy At College Event

On Thursday, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the approval of the Delhi Startup and Incubation Policy, which features a fund allocation of over Rs 500 crore. The announcement was made during the 60th Foundation Celebration of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College in New Delhi. According to the Delhi Chief Minister’s Office, the newly approved policy is aimed at providing critical incubation support to young entrepreneurs and students while generating more job opportunities for the youth.

Speaking to the gathering about the government's plans to support young entrepreneurs and students, Chief Minister Gupta detailed the financial commitment of the administration. She stated that the Delhi government has proposed an investment of Rs 500 crore under this policy to ensure students receive the necessary incubation support to kickstart their business ideas.

"I would like to tell you that the Delhi government has proposed an investment of Rs 500 crore under its Startup Policy for incubation support to students, which will benefit our youth," Chief Minister Gupta said during her address.

In addition to the policy details, the Chief Minister spoke extensively on patriotism and nation-building while addressing the audience at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. She emphasized that individuals who understand the core values of "Rashtra Devo Bhava" are the ones who can truly drive the country's progress.

Gupta connected this spirit of national pride to the global stage, referencing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's international visits. She noted that thousands of Indians and foreign nationals often gather and wait for hours to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister, which brings immense pride to the country.

"When the Prime Minister does this, all 140 crore Indians feel proud. If each one of us contributes even a little in the same spirit, every Indian will develop deep affection for this motherland, and everyone will come together to help build the nation," the Chief Minister added.

To conclude her address, Gupta also spoke about the government's broader vision for the academic sector in Delhi. She highlighted the pressing need to strengthen educational opportunities across the city and confirmed that the government is actively working to develop the national capital into a major education hub.
