Gautam Budh Nagar DIOS Issues Notices to 14 Coaching Centres for Document Verification
The Gautam Budh Nagar district inspector of schools office has issued notices to 14 more coaching centres across Noida and the wider district, ordering operators to submit their mandatory documents for verification within 15 days. The directive requires institute operators to appear before education authorities with fire safety clearance, registration paperwork, compliance records under the National Building Code, and proof of payment for the prescribed registration fee.
According to officials, the latest round of notices is part of an ongoing enforcement drive across Gautam Budh Nagar. Authorities confirmed that between five and seven coaching institutes have already been sealed during inspections, though the specific names of the sealed premises were not disclosed. Officials warned that continuing non-compliance and safety violations could result in further closures.
The regulatory crackdown was launched on June 23, following an accident at a coaching facility in Lucknow in which 15 students lost their lives. An official notice dated August 31 stated that coaching operators must secure fire safety certificates from the competent authority before running classes, noting that strict safety measures are essential across Gautam Budh Nagar in the wake of the Lucknow incident.
District Inspector of Schools Chandra Shekhar stated that approximately 50 coaching centres across the district have received notices so far. He explained that operators are currently submitting paperwork to regularise operations, but noted that institutes are advised to halt activities until their compliance documents are fully verified during the 15-day window.
Several coaching centre representatives in Noida confirmed receiving visits or directives from authorities. Anuradha Raina, manager at Shri Chaitanya C in Sector 62, said DIOS officials inspected the centre to review registration records and the fire no-objection certificate, adding that the institute submitted all requested files.
In Sorkha, Pankaj Kumar, owner and teacher at Life Success Academy, stated that his institute had not received an official DIOS notice but had undergone scrutiny by law enforcement. Kumar noted that two police officers visited his centre approximately two weeks earlier to inspect registration details, and he provided all necessary records for the facility, which enrolls about 24 students.
