Adobe Software Engineer Beaten to Death by In-Laws in Nihal Vihar

A 31-year-old software engineer employed with Adobe in Noida was allegedly beaten to death by his wife's family following a matrimonial dispute at his residence in outer Delhi's Nihal Vihar on Friday. Police have detained four persons in connection with the fatal assault.

The victim, identified as Vinay Gupta, lived in Laxmi Park in Nihal Vihar. He had married a woman from Budh Vihar approximately three-and-a-half years ago. The couple has four-month-old twins, a boy and a girl. Gupta worked as a software engineer at Adobe in Noida, while his wife is a homemaker.

According to police, a dispute broke out between the couple on Friday morning. Following the altercation, the woman called her family members, who arrived at Gupta's residence in Nihal Vihar. The family members then allegedly assaulted Gupta severely, inflicting serious injuries.

Gupta later succumbed to his injuries. Police rushed to the spot after being alerted and launched an investigation into the incident.

Investigators identified and detained four persons allegedly involved in the attack. A case has been registered under Sections 103(1) (murder) and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Police stated that the detained individuals are being questioned to determine the exact sequence of events, the underlying cause of the dispute, and the specific role played by each suspect in the fatal assault.
