Union Health Minister JP Nadda to Review Rising Delhi H1N1 Cases on Friday

Union Health Minister JP Nadda will chair a high-level meeting on Friday to review the H1N1 swine flu situation in Delhi following a reported rise in cases across the national capital.

The review meeting will bring together Delhi's Health Minister along with senior officials from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.

The central intervention comes as Delhi experiences an increase in swine flu infections, raising health concerns across the city. According to officials, the meeting will comprehensively assess the current epidemiological situation and evaluate the preparedness of healthcare facilities to handle patient loads.

Authorities will also review the availability of diagnostic tools, testing infrastructure, and treatment services across medical facilities. Additionally, the discussions will focus on the containment and surveillance measures currently being executed by the Delhi government and regional health authorities to curb the transmission of H1N1.

The Centre's review is taking place against the backdrop of changing weather conditions in the national capital. Health officials note that current patterns of high humidity and fluctuating temperatures create an environment conducive to the spread of seasonal respiratory illnesses.
