Cultural Platform The Home Soiree Opens at Delhi's Travancore Palace

Delhi hosted The Home Soirée at Travancore Palace this August, bringing together Indian handlooms, indigenous art, and classical music as part of an immersive cultural showcase.

The event opened at Travancore Palace with an official inauguration by Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister, Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur. Evolving from an intimate design showcase into a broader multi-faceted cultural platform, the showcase was centered around the theme of living spaces serving as sanctuaries of memory, lineage, and heritage.

Founded by cultural custodians Nandini Singh Jhabua and Akshat Kapoor, The Home Soirée shifted away from a standard exhibition format to highlight how domestic spaces function as repositories of traditional craft and heritage.

Day 1 of the gathering featured a classical music recital by Malini Awasthi, who performed seasonal monsoon compositions including "Ab Ke Sawan Ghar Aaja" and "Barsan Lagi Badariya Room Jhoom Ke". Riddhima Kapoor Sahni attended the performance as the special guest of honour.

Other notable attendees and participants present during the event included Princess Gauravi Kumari, Tomek Pajak, Minu Bakshi, Shivani Verma, and Anas Khan alongside founders Nandini Singh Jhabua and Akshat Kapoor.
