Noida Adobe Techie Beaten to Death by In-Laws in Nihal Vihar

A 31-year-old software engineer working at Adobe in Noida was allegedly beaten to death by his wife's relatives following a marital dispute at his residence in Nihal Vihar, outer Delhi. Police have detained four suspects in connection with the murder and are searching for a fifth who remains on the run.
The victim, Vinay Gupta, was at his Nihal Vihar home when the attack took place. According to his family, the assault was triggered by a household dispute between Vinay and his wife, Rekha Gupta. Following the argument, Rekha allegedly contacted her family members, who arrived at the house shortly after.
Vinay's mother said the family initially thought the in-laws had arrived for a normal discussion. She stated that her husband, who is a cancer patient, asked to seat the visitors and offer them water, but the situation turned violent almost immediately upon their entry.
According to her account, the group pinned Vinay down on a bed, grabbed him by the neck, kicked him, and punched him in the stomach. Both Vinay's mother and father were thrown aside when they attempted to intervene and stop the assault. Neighbours were alerted, but Vinay succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
The victim's mother alleged that her daughter-in-law had orchestrated the attack and intentionally switched off the household CCTV cameras before the assault began. She stated that the attackers choked his throat, jumped on his chest, and fatally injured him within minutes.
Vinay's sister, who was present at the residence, also alleged that the ambush was planned. She said her sister-in-law left the house after the morning argument and returned within 10 minutes accompanied by six men from her family, questioning how they could arrive so quickly when they live roughly 30 minutes away.
Vinay and Rekha had been married for three and a half years and have twin infants who are a few months old. A forensic team has inspected the crime scene, and police investigators are currently examining the sequence of events leading up to the killing.
