NHAI to divert Delhi to Jaipur traffic at Manesar flyover from late July

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) announced that construction on the Delhi to Jaipur side of the Manesar flyover on NH-48 in Gurgaon will begin by the end of July, triggering a major 20-kilometer traffic diversion plan. The diversion is expected to impact over 100,000 commuters who travel daily along the busy Bilaspur to Manesar stretch.
According to NHAI officials, the construction of flyovers at Bilaspur and Manesar aims to decongest the highway, with final project completion scheduled for September 2027. The construction of the specific flyover at Manesar is expected to take approximately one year to complete.
Under the newly formulated traffic plan, vehicles heading towards Jaipur from Delhi will be diverted from IMT Manesar Chowk towards TCI Chowk, a distance of 10 kilometers. From TCI Chowk, motorists will travel eight kilometers along NH 352W (Rewari Pataudi Highway) to reach the KMP Expressway at Pachgaon before exiting back onto NH-48. NHAI officials estimated that this entire 20-kilometer detour will add about 30 minutes to travel times.
For vehicles travelling in the opposite direction towards Delhi, the detour starts at Pachgaon towards the KMP Expressway. Motorists must then reach NH 352W at Patli Hajipur and exit at TCI Chowk near Jhund Sarai to proceed towards Manesar. Those heading directly to Delhi can continue on NH 352W and move towards the Dwarka Expressway from Wazirpur.
To assist motorists, the NHAI plans to install signboards and make public announcements before the diversion begins. Additionally, ten traffic marshals have been deployed at Manesar to manage vehicle flow. The eight-kilometer stretch beyond the Manesar flyover on NH-48, along with the highway's service lanes, will remain open for local traffic.
Work on the Jaipur to Delhi side of the flyover is already underway, with traffic having been partially diverted in May. NHAI officials also noted that three other flyovers between Wazirpur and Dwarka Expressway—at Gateway Rails, Harsaru, and ATS Chowk—are scheduled to open by the end of the month to ease movement, though surface roads near Wazirpur must still be used due to ongoing construction on another flyover.
