Delhi High Court Bomb Threat Declared Hoax Following Extensive Search

The Delhi High Court complex was placed on alert on Friday after receiving a bomb threat through an email at around 11.43am, prompting authorities to carry out extensive security checks across the premises.

The threatening email referenced August 15 and contained the warning, “Lal Qila ta nishana hove ga” (the Red Fort will be targeted). The message also made a reference to attackers being dressed in khaki, hinting that uniformed personnel could be part of the alleged operation.

Following the alert, authorities immediately activated the standard operating procedure (SOP). The Registrar General of the Delhi High Court remained in contact with the Delhi Police as security measures were intensified throughout the court complex.

A multi-agency response team, including a bomb disposal squad, sniffer dog units, and fire personnel, was deployed to inspect the premises. Emergency teams conducted thorough searches across the entire facility.

Authorities confirmed that no explosive material or suspicious objects were found during the operation. The security threat was subsequently declared a hoax.

The incident occurred a day ahead of Independence Day, during a period when security agencies were already maintaining heightened vigilance across the national capital.
