Delhi High Court and MB Road Saket Office Receive Bomb Threats
Multiple locations across the national capital, including an office on MB Road in Saket and the Delhi High Court, received bomb threats on Friday, August 14, 2026. The alerts triggered immediate security checks across sensitive installations ahead of Independence Day celebrations.
According to officials, five locations across the city received bomb threats through phone calls between 11:18 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. Alongside the MB Road Saket office, calls were made regarding Jamnagar House, Jhandewalan Building, Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) office in Delhi Cantonment.
Upon receiving the information, the Delhi Fire Services Department dispatched fire tenders to all five sites to assist security personnel. Authorities reported that thorough searches were conducted and no suspicious items were found at any of the locations.
Separately, the Delhi High Court received a bomb threat via email for Saturday, August 15, 2026. The message, titled ‘BOMB Blast Delhi High Court @ 2:11PM’, warned that a blast would take place at the High Court at 2:11 p.m. on August 15. The email also threatened explosions at district courts across Delhi at 3:11 p.m. on the same day.
Judicial work at the Delhi High Court was not disrupted following the email, and court proceedings continued as per the usual schedule.
In response to the threats, security agencies have heightened surveillance and monitoring across public places, government offices, and sensitive installations throughout Delhi ahead of the upcoming Independence Day events.
