NHAI Invites Applications for Five Young Professional Legal Posts at Delhi Headquarters

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited applications for five Young Professional (Legal) positions on a contractual basis, with selected candidates to be deployed in the Land Acquisition Division at the authority's headquarters in Delhi.

According to the recruitment notification, four vacancies are open for the unreserved category and one is allocated for Other Backward Classes (OBC). One of the five positions will be reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities under NHAI policy. No seats are set aside for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, or Economically Weaker Section candidates. NHAI noted that the number of posts may be adjusted at its discretion.

Applicants must hold a degree in Law from a recognised university, National Law School, or institute, and must possess a Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) Post Graduate (PG) 2026 score. Candidates must be under 32 years of age by the application deadline, with age relaxations applicable under Government of India norms.

Selection will be determined strictly on merit based on candidates' CLAT PG 2026 scores. Recruited candidates will receive an initial consolidated remuneration of Rs 60,000 per month, which will increase by 5% in each subsequent year subject to satisfactory performance.

The initial engagement period will be up to two years, extendable by one additional year based on performance and NHAI requirements. The total tenure cannot exceed three years under any circumstances.

Candidates must submit their applications online through the official NHAI portal by 6 pm on September 8, 2026. NHAI stated that applications submitted via any offline mode will not be entertained.
