Cockroach Janta Party issues guidelines for planned Jantar Mantar protest

The youth pressure group 'Cockroach Janta Party' (CJP) has issued a list of guidelines for a planned peaceful sit-in protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, ahead of its founder Abhijeet Dipke's arrival. CJP spokespersons announced that Dipke, arriving from Boston, is scheduled to land around 8 am on Saturday, after which he and prominent activists, including Sonam Wangchuk, will head to the Parliament Street police station to formally seek official permission for the demonstration.

Group spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka conveyed the list of "dos and don'ts" to potential participants on the eve of the proposed protest. The guidelines aim to ensure the movement remains peaceful, disciplined, and respectful of public order.

The group has instructed its supporters to assemble directly at the Parliament Street police station at 9 am on Saturday, rather than gathering at the airport. From there, the organizers plan to secure the necessary clearances to proceed to the sit-in site at Jantar Mantar.

Among the approved guidelines issued by the organizers are carrying the national tricolour and a book, recording the proceedings of the protest, and reporting any miscreants to the police. Supporters have also been advised to apply sunscreen, bring a cap, remain hydrated, and attend the protest with their families.

The guidelines also advise participants not to show up on an empty stomach and not to engage with trolls or provocateurs. Additionally, organizers suggested that protesters offer flowers to police personnel.

Alongside the protest guidelines, the group issued an appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sack Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Ranka termed the appeal a "last appeal" ahead of the planned demonstration.

Dipke, who was formerly associated with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) before traveling to the United States for a public relations course, shared on social media that he was on his way to India.

During a press conference held at the Constitution Club, Das stated that protesters of all political shades are welcome to join the demonstration.
