21-Year-Old Woman Stabbed to Death in West Delhi's Tilak Nagar, Suspect at Large
A 21-year-old student and model was stabbed to death inside her home in west Delhi's Tilak Nagar on Wednesday evening, police said.
The victim, identified as Muskan, was alone at her residence when she was allegedly attacked. She sustained multiple stab wounds to her abdomen and other parts of her body. After receiving a PCR call about the incident, police rushed her to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Investigators have identified Imran, a gym trainer, as the primary suspect. Imran fled immediately after the incident, prompting Delhi Police to form multiple teams to track him down.
According to police, Muskan and the suspect had known each other for approximately one-and-a-half years. Relatives and neighbours told investigators that they had often seen the gym trainer in the locality. They also stated that he had allegedly been pursuing Muskan, who was suspected to have rejected him. A police officer noted that the victim's parents appeared to be unaware of her friendship with the gym trainer.
"A woman, around 21 years of age, was stabbed to death when she was alone at her residence. CCTV footage is being examined and police investigation is under way," a senior police officer said.
As part of the ongoing probe, investigators are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area and scanning the victim's phone for potential leads. Police have also raided the gym where Imran worked along with his residence, questioning his family members and friends.
The victim's body has been preserved in a mortuary, with a postmortem examination scheduled for Thursday morning.
Following the killing, tension was reported in the locality, leading to stepped-up police deployment in the area. Officials noted that the victim and the suspect belong to different faiths, and police personnel are maintaining a presence in the neighbourhood. The official motive behind the murder has not yet been established as the search for the suspect continues.
