21-Year-Old Woman Stabbed to Death in West Delhi's Tilak Nagar, Gym Trainer Flees

A 21-year-old woman was stabbed to death inside her home in west Delhi's Tilak Nagar on Wednesday evening, prompting a manhunt for a gym trainer suspected of the killing.

The victim was found with multiple stab wounds to her abdomen and other parts of her body. Police were alerted to the incident through a PCR call, after which the woman was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.

According to police sources, the victim was alone at her residence when the attack took place. Investigators revealed that the woman and the suspect had known each other for about one-and-a-half years. However, her parents appeared unaware of their friendship.

Neighbours and relatives told investigators that the gym trainer was frequently seen in the locality and had been trying to pursue the woman, who was suspected to have rejected his advances. Following the crime, the suspect fled the area.

Heavy police deployment was stationed in the neighbourhood to prevent unrest, as the victim and the suspect belong to different faiths.

Senior police officials confirmed that multiple teams have been formed to track down and arrest the fleeing suspect. Investigators have raided the gym where he worked as well as his residence, questioning his family members and friends.

Police are currently scanning the victim's mobile phone for potential leads and reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area. The woman's body has been preserved in a mortuary for a postmortem examination scheduled for Thursday morning.
