DDA signs deal with Juniper for Rs 1,000-crore Grand Hyatt hotel in Dwarka Sector 23

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has signed an agreement on Wednesday with Juniper Hospitality Assets Private Limited to construct and manage a five-star hotel in Sector 23, Dwarka. The project, which will bring the Grand Hyatt brand to the subcity, is situated near Dwarka's proposed diplomatic enclave and the country's longest 18-hole golf course.

The development is expected to attract an investment of approximately Rs 1,000 crore. In an official statement, the DDA confirmed that the designated project site in Sector 23 will soon be handed over to Juniper Hotels Ltd to begin development.

The proposed five-star hotel will be developed and operated by Juniper in partnership with Hyatt under the Grand Hyatt brand on a licence fee basis. Over the course of the 55-year licence period, the hotel project is projected to generate more than Rs 6,000 crore in total revenue for the Delhi Development Authority.

According to timelines outlined by the DDA, the hotel is scheduled to become fully operational by 2030.

Juniper Hospitality Assets Private Limited is a subsidiary of Juniper Hotels Ltd, which operates as a strategic partnership between Saraf Hotels and international hospitality brand Hyatt. Juniper Hotels Ltd currently manages a portfolio of seven hotels across India, accounting for 1,895 keys, including 245 serviced apartments.
