Woman Stabbed to Death at Lahori Gate Hotel, Accused Attempts Suicide

A 28-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her boyfriend at Hotel Prince in Delhi's Lahori Gate area, police said on Thursday. Following the attack, the accused man allegedly consumed a poisonous substance in an apparent suicide attempt.
According to police, the couple had checked into Hotel Prince on Wednesday evening. The man is a native of Rajasthan, while the deceased woman hailed from Bihar.
Investigators stated that the man attacked the woman with a knife during the night, inflicting multiple injuries. He subsequently consumed poison inside the room.
On Thursday morning, the Lahori Gate Police Station received information reporting that a man and a woman were lying unconscious inside Hotel Prince. A police team immediately rushed to the spot following the alert.
Hotel staff had discovered the woman lying in a pool of blood inside the room earlier that morning. Officers found her unconscious with multiple stab wounds. Both individuals were taken to the hospital, where doctors declared the 28-year-old woman brought dead.
The accused is currently undergoing medical treatment at the hospital. Police stated that the woman's body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
