Woman Held at Knifepoint, Robbed of Rs 75 Lakh at Ashok Vihar Home

A woman was held hostage at knifepoint, tied up, and robbed of Rs 75 lakh in cash by four unidentified intruders at her residence in northwest Delhi's Ashok Vihar on Wednesday.

According to police, a Police Control Room (PCR) call regarding the robbery was received at the Ashok Vihar police station from E-Block, Phase-I, prompting officers to rush to the scene.

Upon arrival, police officials found that four men had allegedly forced their way into the victim's house. Once inside, the assailants threatened the woman with a knife, tied her hands and legs, and looted Rs 75 lakh in cash before fleeing the premises.

The victim sustained simple abrasions during the incident and was taken for a medical examination following the ordeal.

Police have registered a formal case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Section 309 (robbery), Section 311 (robbery or dacoity accompanied by a deadly weapon), and Section 3(5) (common intention).

Multiple police teams have been constituted to investigate the crime. Investigators are actively scanning and analysing CCTV footage from cameras installed across the locality and adjacent areas to trace the route taken by the suspects and apprehend them.
