Woman Alleges Abduction Bid, Assault Outside The Ashok Hotel in New Delhi

A 28-year-old woman from Nagaland has alleged that she and her friend faced an attempted abduction by three men in a white Mercedes in the parking area of The Ashok hotel in New Delhi, followed by a violent assault on her male friends who stepped in to help.
The incident took place around 3:30 AM on October 4 near the exit gate of the five-star hotel premises. According to the woman's complaint, she and her female friend had just come out of the washroom when three unidentified men travelling in the Mercedes allegedly attempted to abduct them.
When three of her male friends intervened during the struggle, the occupants of the car attacked them with hockey sticks and punches. The complainant stated that the men also removed the vehicle's number plate in an attempt to conceal their identity during the altercation.
Delhi Police stated that the incident involved an argument and a scuffle between two groups in the parking area. Investigators confirmed that they are probing the kidnapping allegations, and no arrests have been made in the case so far.
An official at The Ashok said the hotel had no direct connection to the incident, explaining that those involved were guests of SOHO, a club that operates as an independent entity leasing premises from the hotel. Multiple calls and a text message sent to SOHO seeking comment garnered no response.
