Two teenagers arrested for murder after DJ song dispute in outer Delhi

Two teenagers have been arrested for allegedly stabbing a man to death and injuring another outside a lodge and bar in Shahbad Daulatpur, outer Delhi, following a dispute over a DJ's song choice. The violent altercation occurred in the early hours of June 18, leading to the death of one of the victims on Tuesday during treatment.
The Delhi Police apprehended the two suspects, identified as Abhishek, aged 18 years and seven months, and Ashwin, aged 18 years and three months, on Wednesday. The arrests were made during a targeted raid in the Pitampura area.
According to DCP (crime) Harsh Indora, the police received a specific tip-off regarding the whereabouts of one of the accused. Acting swiftly on the information, officers conducted a raid and apprehended both teenagers on Wednesday.
The incident began when the two accused visited the establishment in Shahbad Daulatpur to smoke hookah. During their visit, an argument broke out with the DJ operator after he refused to play a song of their choice.
The disagreement quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. During this initial clash inside the venue, the two accused were allegedly assaulted by several people who were present at the scene.
In the hours following the confrontation, the dispute turned into a revenge attack outside the bar. The police received information regarding the violent clash in the early hours of June 18 and rushed to the spot. Upon reaching the scene, officers found two men with serious stab injuries.
Both victims were immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. One of the victims succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, while the other survived the attack. The two apprehended teenagers now face murder charges.
