Two Himanshu Bhau Gang Shooters Injured and Arrested in Bakkarwala Encounter
Two suspected shooters associated with fugitive gangster Himanshu Bhau's syndicate were injured and apprehended following an armed encounter with law enforcement in the Bakkarwala area, foiling an alleged plot to assassinate a prominent doctor.
The joint operation was initiated after the Crime Branch of Delhi Police and the Haryana Police Special Task Force (STF) received intelligence indicating that the Himanshu Bhau gang was planning a targeted killing. According to officials, gang leader Himanshu Bhau had allegedly issued threats against Dr Narendra Sharma, the owner of RRM Hospital, warning that shooters could be dispatched to the area.
Acting on the specific tip-off, police teams moved to intercept a suspicious Mahindra Thar in Bakkarwala. Upon being signalled by police personnel to pull over, the driver accelerated the vehicle in an attempt to escape toward a service road located near the flyover. During the escape bid, the SUV was involved in a head-on collision with a Bolero pickup truck approaching from the opposite direction at a 'T' point.
Following the crash, the two occupants abandoned the damaged vehicle and opened fire on the police team. Investigators stated that the suspects discharged approximately eight rounds during the exchange. Police personnel returned fire in self-defence, resulting in both suspects sustaining bullet injuries.
The injured men were apprehended at the scene and subsequently transferred to a hospital for medical treatment. Authorities recovered two Glock pistols from their possession.
Police identified one of the injured suspects as 19-year-old Sameer, a resident of Rithal Phogat in Rohtak. The second suspect was identified as Kush, originally from Ghubana and currently residing in Vijay Nagar, Rohtak. Investigators are currently examining the origin of the recovered weapons and probing the involvement of other gang associates.
The Himanshu Bhau syndicate was previously implicated in a shooting incident outside the residence of YouTuber Elvish Yadav in Gurugram.
