Two High-Tech Police Booths with e-FIR Facilities Launched in Karol Bagh

The Delhi Police recently launched two high-tech, glass-and-gadget integrated facilitation booths at Kalka Das and Arpit Gol Chakkar in the Karol Bagh area of Central Delhi. These modern outposts are designed to bring essential law enforcement services directly to the public, allowing local shoppers, residents, and traders to register e-FIRs, report cybercrimes, and lodge complaints without having to visit a traditional police station.
The sleek, modern glass booths are strategically positioned at the busy tri-junction of the Karol Bagh, DBG Road, and Paharganj police circle. This high-footfall commercial hub attracts thousands of daily visitors, making the location a vital spot for enhanced public safety measures and quicker police response times.
Inside the newly established booths, visitors will find advanced digital infrastructure. Each unit is equipped with high-speed internet connectivity, computer systems, LED display screens, CCTV cameras, and integrated public address systems. These tools aim to streamline the process of accessing police services while bolstering local security.
Special CP Devesh Chandra Srivastva highlighted the multi-functional role of the technology installed in the booths. He stated that the LED displays will show public awareness messages, traffic advisories, emergency alerts, and crime prevention information to keep the public informed in real time.
Furthermore, the integrated CCTV cameras and loudspeakers are designed to strengthen local surveillance and facilitate timely communication during emergencies. This setup allows police personnel to monitor the surrounding market environment and coordinate quick responses if an incident arises.
By offering a direct portal for filing e-FIRs and reporting cybercrimes right on the street, the initiative is expected to significantly reduce the administrative hurdles faced by citizens. Local traders and residents have welcomed the development, noting that the presence of the high-tech booths will make the bustling market area feel safer and more secure for everyone.
