Two Arrested for Shooting Man in West Delhi’s Mianwali Nagar

Two men have been arrested for allegedly shooting at a 32-year-old man in West Delhi’s Mianwali Nagar over his live-in relationship with a divorced woman, police said on Thursday.

The accused have been identified as Sagar, 26, and Piyush, 23. According to the police, the two men allegedly considered the woman their sworn sister and opposed her relationship with the victim.

The shooting took place around 4:28 p.m. on August 26 outside a house in Mianwali Nagar, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Paschim Vihar West police station. The accused arrived at the spot on a motorcycle and fired a single shot at the victim, Nihal Khan, hitting him near the back of his right ear.

Khan, a resident of Ekta Enclave, was immediately taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital for medical attention. Doctors reported that his condition is stable.

Following the incident, police registered a case under Sections 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, as well as Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act. Further investigation into the case is currently underway.
