Tughlakabad Records Highest Voter Roll Deletion at 48%, Chandni Chowk at 38.9%

Nearly 48% of registered voters in southeast Delhi’s Tughlakabad assembly constituency are missing from draft voter rolls, marking the highest rate of deletion among all 70 assembly segments in the city. In the walled city area, Chandni Chowk recorded a voter deletion rate of 38.9%.

The constituency-level deletion statistics are based on enumeration forms that were not filled and submitted by voters during the revision process.

Following Tughlakabad, the Okhla constituency recorded the second-highest deletion figure in the city at 45.3%. Other areas with high omission rates included R K Puram, where the deletion rate reached around 44.4%, and Kasturba Nagar, which recorded a rate of approximately 44%.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, the Rohini assembly constituency registered the lowest deletion rate across the national capital at 16.5%, followed by Shakur Basti at 18.7%. The contrast between the segments is sharp, with the voter deletion rate in Tughlakabad standing at nearly three times that of Rohini.

Consequently, Rohini recorded the highest digitisation rate of enumeration forms among all 70 constituencies at 83.4%. Shakur Basti followed closely, achieving a digitisation rate of 81.2%.

The deletion rate across Delhi’s seven Muslim-dominated constituencies presented mixed figures. Okhla registered the highest deletion rate among the group at 45.3%, followed by Chandni Chowk at 38.9% and Ballimaran at 32.6%.

Among the other Muslim-dominated assembly seats, Mustafabad recorded a deletion rate of 28%, Babarpur stood at 27%, Matia Mahal registered 24.5%, and Seelampur recorded the lowest among the group at 23.3%.
