Three minors arrested after factory worker stabbed to death in Begampur robbery

A 60-year-old factory worker was stabbed to death during a robbery attempt on Pansali Road in Begampur, Rohini, on Tuesday night. The victim, identified as Rajesh, was cycling home from work when three minor boys confronted, stabbed, and robbed him of ₹4,080.
Rajesh, a resident of Shahabad Dairy, worked as a labourer in a nickel factory in Pratap Vihar. He was returning home on his bicycle when the attack occurred.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Shashank Jaiswal, the Begampur police station received information on Tuesday night about an unconscious man bleeding from his mouth in an isolated area on Pansali Road. A police team dispatched to the scene found that Rajesh had already been shifted to Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Before he passed away, Rajesh managed to speak to a passerby who found him bleeding on the road. Rajesh told the witness that three boys had surrounded him and one of them stabbed him in the waist.
Police registered a murder case and launched an investigation. Because there were no CCTV cameras installed at the crime scene, investigators scanned cameras on the routes leading to the area. Through technical investigation and field intelligence, police identified and apprehended the three minor suspects on Wednesday.
During interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime. They told investigators that they were in the area intending to commit a robbery for money. When they spotted Rajesh on his bicycle, they waylaid him.
One of the minors threatened Rajesh with a knife while the other two held him down. When Rajesh resisted, he was stabbed in the waist. The boys then stole ₹4,080 from his pocket and fled, leaving him to bleed.
The suspects divided the stolen cash among themselves and spent it on food. Police seized the murder weapon, which the minors had purchased online.
