Three men killed as mini truck crashes into divider on GT Karnal Road in Alipur

Three men lost their lives early Thursday morning when their mini truck crashed into a road divider on the GT Karnal Road, near the Bakoli bus stand in the Alipur area of North Delhi. The fatal traffic accident took place at approximately 4:30 AM, reportedly because the driver of the vehicle dozed off.

The police have identified the deceased individuals as 50-year-old Jagdish Singh, 27-year-old Yashwant Singh, and 26-year-old Sumit. According to police records, the three victims were residents of the Kirari and Burari areas, which are located in Delhi.

At the time of the collision, the three men were travelling in the mini truck to transport a buffalo and a calf. They were heading in the direction of Mukarba Chowk with the intention of selling the two animals to their friend.

Investigators stated that it appeared the driver had fallen asleep while driving. This caused the vehicle to lose its balance and crash heavily on the roadside, resulting in severe damage to the front of the mini truck.

Shobhit Saxena, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for the Outernorth district, confirmed that the local police received information regarding the road traffic accident on GT Karnal Road near the Bakoli bus stand at about 4:30 AM on Thursday. The call prompted an immediate response from the local authorities.

Emergency services and police personnel immediately arrived at the scene of the crash. The three men, who were all seated in the front of the mini truck, had sustained fatal injuries from the impact of the collision. They were quickly transported to the SRHC Hospital in Narela, where they were officially declared dead by doctors at the hospital.

Following the accident, the Alipur police station registered a case under the relevant sections of the BNS. Police authorities have stated that a further investigation is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the fatal crash on the GT Karnal Road.
