Rekha Gupta Leads Tiranga Yatra From India Gate To Kartavya Path

Delhi witnessed a series of Tiranga yatras on Wednesday as preparations for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations gathered pace across the national capital. The main yatra, which was organised by the Delhi government as part of the Centre’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, began at India Gate and passed through Rafi Marg before culminating at Kartavya Path.

The principal march was led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin, and Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra. They were joined in the march by Delhi government ministers, political leaders, young people, students, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, and other citizens.

Speaking during the march, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that Independence Day was an opportunity to remember the sacrifices made during the freedom struggle, reflect on the country’s progress, and renew commitments for the future. She urged Delhi residents to join the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and display the national flag at their homes.

Commentary was also offered by BJP national president Nitin Nabin, who said that the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign had evolved into a platform for public participation and served as an expression of national pride.

In addition to the central rally that moved from India Gate to Kartavya Path, Tiranga yatras were also organised in south Delhi, Mehrauli, Mayur Vihar, and Naveen Shahdara districts by Delhi BJP leaders.

Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assembly, and party workers took part in these marches across the various districts. Organisers stated that these marches were aimed at commemorating freedom fighters and promoting national unity as part of the celebrations leading up to Independence Day.
