Rain Delays Toss for India-Afghanistan First ODI Match in Dharamsala

Rain Delays Toss for India-Afghanistan First ODI Match in Dharamsala

The toss for the first One Day International (ODI) cricket match between the India national cricket team and the Afghanistan national cricket team was delayed on June 13 due to rain in Dharamsala.

The wet weather prevented the match from starting on its scheduled time. The rain impacted the playing conditions at the Dharamsala venue, requiring immediate intervention from the stadium's ground staff.

To prepare the field for play, the ground staff had to deploy a Super Sopper to dry the outfield. The delay affected the initial schedule of the match as teams and spectators waited for the weather to clear and the ground to be made fit for the game to begin.

Both the Indian and Afghan national teams were forced to wait as the ground staff continued their efforts to make the field safe and playable. The delay of the toss meant that the official start of the first ODI match of the series had to be put on hold.

With the weather interrupting the pre-match proceedings on June 13, the focus remained on the efforts of the ground staff in Dharamsala to prepare the pitch and outfield. No further announcements regarding a rescheduled toss time or potential reductions in match overs were made during the initial period of the delay.
