Protester challenges police during Cockroach Janta Party march in Central Delhi

An unidentified protester stood his ground and repeatedly challenged security forces to beat him during a police crackdown on demonstrators in Central Delhi on Monday. The confrontation occurred during a Parliament march organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which drew a large number of student and youth activists to the capital.

The incident has drawn significant public attention after a video of the encounter went viral on social media. In the video footage, the unidentified demonstrator is seen standing directly in front of a group of security personnel who were carrying lathis. As the officers approached him, the man remained in place and repeatedly said, "maaro sir, maaro sir," which translates to "beat me, sir."

According to news agency PTI, the march escalated when protesters attempted to cross police barricades to move toward their designated protest site. In response, security forces deployed lathis and fired tear gas shells to disperse the gathering crowd at several locations.

While a large number of the demonstrators dispersed during the police action, the unidentified man continued to stand his ground as the confrontation unfolded. The protest march, which saw significant participation from students and youth activists, was halted at various points.

Security forces stopped the demonstrators at multiple locations across Central Delhi to prevent them from advancing further. The viral video of the protester's defiance has since become a focal point of the public attention surrounding the police crackdown on the Cockroach Janta Party's march.
