Preity Zinta Interacts With Students at Hindu College in North Campus

Actor Preity Zinta visited Hindu College in Delhi's North Campus on Wednesday, addressing a packed auditorium of students where she reflected on her film career, cricket experiences, and life lessons.

During the interactive session, Zinta answered questions from the audience, distributed T-shirts, and danced with students to the track Pretty Woman from her film Kal Ho Naa Ho. Reflecting on her 2001 film Dil Chahta Hai, which recently completed 25 years, she remarked that while the camaraderie would remain the same today, modern social media would turn classic scenes, such as Aamir Khan's character getting punched, into viral memes.

Speaking on relationships and her roles in films such as Veer-Zaara and Kal Ho Naa Ho, Zinta stressed that mutual respect is the core foundation for sustaining love over time. She shared advice given by her grandmother about long-term connection and referenced her movie Kya Kehna while discussing the topic.

Zinta also recalled memories from her involvement in cricket, sharing an anecdote about how former India player Yuvraj Singh taught her how to bat for an owners' match after she practiced for nearly two weeks. When asked about her Indian Premier League team, she noted that her ultimate goal remains winning the championship trophy. She highlighted the satisfaction of nurturing emerging talent, pointing to bowler Arshdeep Singh's journey to representing the Indian national team.

Addressing the women in the auditorium, Zinta shared insights from her journey moving from Shimla into the film industry, urging students to maintain resilience, work hard, and retain faith in themselves despite obstacles.

Discussing her social work with orphans, Zinta emphasized that meaningful success lies in making a positive difference rather than personal acquisitions, describing education as a vital tool to transform lives and families. Following the session, students gathered in the corridors for autographs and selfies on stage as the actor concluded her visit.
