Police defuse tension after quarrel during prayer recital at East Sagarpur park

A brief quarrel broke out between members of a Hindu outfit and residents of a nearby jhuggi cluster during a prayer recital at a DDA park in East Sagarpur, southwest Delhi, on Tuesday evening. The confrontation caused brief tension in the locality before being defused by the Delhi Police.
The incident occurred when members of the Hindu outfit gathered at the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) park, which is located behind a jhuggi cluster in East Sagarpur, to recite prayers.
Some residents of the nearby jhuggi cluster objected to the prayer gathering. This objection quickly led to a heated argument and a brief quarrel between the two groups.
Police personnel had already been deployed in the East Sagarpur area as a precautionary measure prior to the incident. Because of this pre-deployment, officers were able to intervene immediately when the argument began.
The immediate intervention by the police personnel successfully brought the situation under control and prevented any further escalation of tension between the residents and the members of the Hindu outfit.
