PM Narendra Modi to Address Students at SRCC in Delhi on September 5

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address students at the Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in Delhi on September 5, coinciding with the institution’s centenary year celebrations.
The visit, which takes place on Teachers’ Day, is planned to include an interaction with young people. The discussions during the event are expected to center around the aspirations of students and key issues shaping the next generation.
This will mark the Prime Minister’s second visit to a higher education institution following recent protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party demanding education reforms. The agitation had eventually led to the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Prior to this, Mr. Modi attended the convocation ceremony at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi as the chief guest on August 8.
Mr. Modi has previously engaged with the college community at SRCC. In 2013, prior to taking office as Prime Minister, he delivered the Shri Ram Keynote Oration at the institution, where he spoke about national development and highlighted the importance of 'Suraj', or good governance.
Earlier this year in April, Mr. Modi also commemorated 100 years of the college by formally releasing a commemorative stamp in New Delhi.
