PM Modi Places NCC Cadet's Fallen Cap Back on Her Head at Red Fort

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a brief, warm moment with National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets and My Bharat volunteers at the Red Fort on Saturday, pausing to pick up an NCC cadet's cap and place it back on her head.

The incident took place when the young cadet walked forward to greet the Prime Minister and bent down to touch his feet. As she leaned forward, her cap slipped off her head and landed on the ground near Modi.

Modi immediately reached down, picked up the fallen cap, and gently put it back onto the cadet's head before continuing with the conversation.

The exchange occurred towards the conclusion of the Independence Day celebrations at the historic monument. Following formal proceedings, Modi stepped beyond the security cordon to mingle directly with the gathered crowd of NCC cadets and My Bharat volunteers.

The informal meeting followed Modi's 75-minute Independence Day address from the ramparts of the Red Fort. In his speech, he repeatedly emphasised the crucial role that India's youth will play in building a Viksit Bharat by the year 2047.
