PM Modi Calls for Secure Sea Routes and Seafarer Safety at G7 Summit in Evian

During the 2026 G7 Summit in Evian, France, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for secure sea routes and emphasized that the safety of seafarers is a collective responsibility.
The high-profile summit brought together prominent world leaders, including Modi, US President Donald Trump, French President Emmanuel Macron, and other G7 leaders, to address critical international issues.
During the sessions, Prime Minister Modi focused heavily on the importance of global maritime security. He highlighted that ensuring safe passage along international sea routes and protecting the individuals who work on them must be treated as a shared obligation by the global community.
