Over 54% Flats in Narela Sold on Day 1 of DDA Karamjeevi Scheme

Over 54 percent of the flats offered under the Delhi Development Authority's Karamjeevi Awaas Yojana 2026 were booked on the first day of rollout in Narela, officials confirmed on Saturday.
Out of the 1,218 flats offered by the authority, buyers booked 661 units on day one, with the 1BHK configuration selling out completely. The scheme offers ready-to-move-in flats in Narela to both serving and retired government personnel as well as corporate employees at a flat 25 percent discount.
Bookings under the scheme opened on Sunday on a first-come, first-served basis through the DDA Awaas Portal. Under the discounted pricing structure, 1BHK units were priced at ₹33.4 lakh, 2BHK flats were offered at ₹75.55 lakh, and 3BHK flats were listed at ₹1.07 crore.
According to data shared by the DDA, the authority sold a total of 1,284 flats across Delhi during the first quarter of the current financial year, generating more than ₹1,020 crore in revenue. Narela accounted for 1,153 units of those sales, representing nearly 90 percent of the total volume.
Authority officials noted that the strong buyer response highlights the emergence of Narela as a key residential hub, aided by developing infrastructure and transit connectivity. The housing complex sits approximately 1.2 kilometres from an upcoming Metro station, 1.9 kilometres from a proposed RRTS station, and 2 kilometres from the Narela Sports Complex. The location also provides direct access to Urban Extension Road-I (UER-I) and GT Karnal Road.
The flats under the scheme are being offered on a freehold basis, with no restrictions placed on existing property ownership. Officials added that the amalgamation of adjoining flats is permitted, subject to DDA norms and approvals. The remaining unsold flats continue to be available for online booking on the official portal on a first-come, first-served basis.
