Newborn Infant Rescued Near Aali Mor in Sarita Vihar by Delhi Police

A six to seven-day-old newborn infant was rescued by Delhi Police after being found crying and allegedly abandoned on the roadside near Aali Mor in southeast Delhi's Sarita Vihar.
The infant was spotted alone by a Police Control Room (PCR) team. Recognising the urgency of the situation, the police team rushed the newborn to the paediatric emergency department at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
According to police officials, the child was in a fragile condition when discovered and required immediate medical attention. The rapid intervention by the PCR personnel ensured that the infant received critical treatment before the condition could deteriorate further.
Medical staff at AIIMS are currently monitoring the newborn's condition.
Delhi Police have launched an inquiry to piece together the sequence of events and identify those responsible for abandoning the infant on the road.
