New Delhi and Central Delhi On High Alert As CJP Demands Withdrawal Of FIRs

Heightened security will remain in place across New Delhi and Central Delhi districts after the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) warned of fresh protests if First Information Reports (FIRs) registered against demonstrators are not withdrawn.

In a post on social media platform X, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka alleged that an agreement made with the Centre to refrain from police action against protesters was being breached. Ranka stated that hundreds of students have been arrested in Bihar and Bengal, while hundreds more are being surveilled and harassed in Delhi and other states.

The CJP spokesperson also highlighted that multiple reports are emerging within Delhi regarding the detention of volunteers who were providing logistics support to the protesters.

The party demanded that all FIRs filed against demonstrators be immediately withdrawn, all detained students be released, and no future cases be registered by the Delhi Police, central investigative agencies, or police in states governed by BJP allies.

Ranka noted that the CJP expects the government to provide a written agreement regarding the withdrawal of legal cases by Tuesday, as discussed during talks. He warned that failure to meet this demand will force the outfit to resume sit-in protests.
