NCRTC Submits DPRs for Four Namo Bharat Corridors Including Noida Airport Link

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has submitted Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for four proposed Namo Bharat Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridors, including a proposed connection to Noida International Airport. The initiative aims to expand high-speed regional transit and enhance connectivity across the Delhi-NCR region.

The update on the transit network was provided in response to questions raised in the Rajya Sabha by Member of Parliament Raghav Chadha. Chadha sought specific details regarding the progress of Phase-I Namo Bharat corridors, including the Delhi-Gurugram-SNB-Alwar and Delhi-Panipat-Karnal lines. He also inquired about the current status of the proposed link to Noida International Airport and the central government's plans for expanding the Namo Bharat network nationwide.

Responding to the parliamentary queries, Union Minister Sahu outlined the government's evaluation process for funding and approving these large-scale transit developments.

"The Namo Bharat RRTS projects are cost intensive proposals and therefore, undergo intensive examination at different levels in Central Government," Sahu said. "After such examination, Central Government considers financial assistance to RRTS projects, based on feasibility of the proposal and availability of resources."

The submitted DPRs represent a key administrative step toward expanding regional rapid transport infrastructure, with the proposed route to Noida International Airport serving as a major project within the planned network.
