MCD Launches Drive to Seal Illegal Buildings After Saket Collapse

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has initiated an enforcement drive to identify and seal unauthorized and illegal structures in South Delhi, following a building collapse in the Saket locality.

The collapse of the building in Saket prompted the civic authority to take action against safety violations in the area. In response to the incident, the MCD started a campaign focused on locating buildings that have been constructed illegally or without proper authorization.

Under this drive, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is targeting unauthorized buildings across the south Delhi region. The primary objective of the campaign is to identify structures that violate building regulations and seal them to prevent safety hazards.

The enforcement drive represents an effort by the MCD to address unauthorized construction and ensure safety compliance in the wake of the Saket collapse.
